Embarking on our unforgettable journey up the Amazon from Yurimaguas to Iquitos in August 2025, we found ourselves in the heart of the jungle. Sleeping in hammocks aboard a cargo ship, we listened to the rhythmic sounds of the water and jungle. Each stop brought new adventures, as we visited remote villages, cut off from the outside world, where time seemed to stand still. As we navigated through the lush greenery, the vibrant wildlife surrounded us, a reminder of nature’s beauty. These were the most remote parts of the Amazon, where every moment felt like a step back in time.
